Utah Valley Marathon

The next Utah Valley Marathon which is held every June is a wonderful run that takes you from Wallsburg Utah which is in beautiful Provo Canyon near Deer Creek Reservoir. As you run you can see a lot of Utah’s diverse geography. Running along the Provo Canyon road you’ll see waterfalls, beautiful mountains, and great city backgrounds. The course ends up in historic Provo Tabernacle Park

The climate along this course in June is warm and breezy as you run through The Provo Canyon, then ending up in The Provo Tabernacle Park it’s a wonderful warm climate. Anyone can run in the race, and as far as registration it’s $69 by March 10th, $79 by April 10th, $89 by May 10th, and then $99 by June 7th,, and all proceeds go to charity. For all those running, there’s a tech shirt, and awards given out for all those that finish the 26.2 mile race in 6 hours. For those who finish in 6 hours, the awards are a $262 gift certificate to Sierra West Jewelers as well as a Silver Utah Valley Marathon Medallion.

For the first place awards, the overall men & women champions will receive $1,600 cash prize, champion cup, & Swiss Army Watch, and the 2nd place prize for overall men & women is $800 cash. They will also receive an additional $100 gift certificate to Sierra West and an acrylic plaque. The 3rd place prize for overall men & women is $500 cash. They will also receive an additional $100 gift certificate to Sierra West and an acrylic plaque. The 4th place for overall men & women is $300 cash. The 5th place for overall men & women is $200 cash.
